World Bank projects in Ukraine
The World Bank finances a number of programmes in Ukraine, covering areas such as energy, roads and logistics, health, education, housing and public administration. Contracts under these projects are procured by Ukrainian government agencies, but under World Bank procurement rules.
Notice types
- General Procurement Notice: an early signal of what a project plans to buy.
- Request for Expression of Interest: used to shortlist consultants. Usually the first step for consulting work.
- Invitation for Bids: for works, goods and non-consulting services.
- Invitation for Prequalification: bidders are screened before they can bid.
How to follow them
This site lists World Bank notices for Ukraine and links each one to the official page, where the full bidding documents can be found. The official notice is the only authoritative version.
Tips
- Read the eligibility section carefully. The Bank applies its own eligibility and integrity rules.
- Note whether bids go through a national or international procedure, and in which language.
- Consulting work usually needs a clear record of similar assignments.
